Air Niugini services to Manila, Philippines between 19th and 30th September, 2021
September 17, 2021
Air Niugini wishes to advise customers that the Philippines Government has advised that no passengers originating in PNG may be carried from PNG to the Philippines on any flight during the period 19th – 30th September, 2021. This is due to the increase in COVID-19 within Papua New Guinea.
Passengers transferring from other countries via Port Moresby to Manila are exempted and may still be uplifted, provided they remain within the transfer lounge at Jackson’s airport during their short stopover.
Accordingly all passengers presently booked to travel from Port Moresby to Manila on flights departing between 19th – 30th September should contact Air Niugini or your Travel Agent for rebooking onto next available flights in October/November.
In addition, PX010/011 on Sunday 26th September from Port Moresby to Manila and return has been cancelled outright, with all passengers in both directions to rebook for later dates.
PX011 flights from Manila to Port Moresby on 17th, 19th, and 24th September are operating normally.
Air Niugini apologizes for the inconvenience caused, however the above measures are a directive of the Philippines Government and therefore outside the airline’s control.
