Ban Of 15 Inch Macbook Pro Battery On Flights

In view of instructions issued by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the US Federal Aviation Administration regarding Apple’s recall of 15-inch MacBook Pro units manufactured between September 2015 and February 2017 due to battery issues, Air Niugini wishes to advise passengers to check the Apple support webpage for details on this specific battery type.
Passengers should check the Apple support webpage as the faulty devices can only be identified via their serial numbers.
In general, lithium batteries that are damaged, defective or recalled are not allowed on-board an airplane.
