Disruption of services due to Telikom’s cable issues

Air Niugini wishes to advise our valued customers that the current telecommunication issue has affected all telephone lines to the Airline’s Port Moresby-based offices including the Head Office, Waigani Sales and the airport operations.

Our customers are advised to use the alternate Call Centre number 7373 2100 for reservations or any general enquiries.

The Telikom cable issue has also affected our check-in system. Passengers traveling between now and over the Easter weekend are advised to check in at least three hours prior to departure time to avoid any inconvenience. Passengers who have access to the internet are encouraged to use Air Niugini’s online check-in system.

Air Niugini services have been affected since Tuesday, following the sabotage of the Telikom fibre cables at several suburbs in the city. It is understood, technicians are working around the clock to have the services fully restored.
