CHANGES IN DEPARTURE REQUIREMENTS FOR TRAVEL TO AUSTRALIA
Air Niugini is pleased to advise travellers to Australia that from Tuesday 05th July they are no longer required to complete the Australia Digital Passenger Declaration (DPD), nor will they be required to produce Covid-19 Proof of Vaccination at check-in. Likewise, PNG citizens who have chosen not to be vaccinated are also now able to travel from Australia to PNG (and return). �With the world now moving to relax many of the Covid-19 restrictions, this signals a return to the freedom to travel that we all enjoyed in the past� said Paul Abbot, Air Niugini�s General Manager (GM) Commercial. �The removal of the Proof of Vaccination documents now frees up un-vaccinated travellers to move freely between Papua New Guinea and Australia, with travel being just as seamless as prior to Covid-19�

INFLIGHT MAGAZINE�S RETURN A SIGN THAT PNG IS BACK IN BUSINESS
Air Niugini�s award-winning inflight magazine, Paradise, will finally return to Air Niugini flights in September, after a hiatus of more than two years caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Production of the magazine, which is placed on board Air Niugini flights, was suspended in April 2020. �Paradise has a special place in PNG culture. Since its earliest days, just after PNG�s Independence, it has been a window through which visitors to our country have discovered and explored PNG, and Papua New Guineans have learned about their own country,� says Air Niugini�s Chief Executive Officer, Bruce Alabaster.

AIR NIUGINI TRAINS POST PNG TICKETING AGENTS
More Post PNG branches throughout the country are now able to sell Air Niugini tickets – thanks to continuous ticketing agents� training. Eleven staff from various postal branches throughout the country recently attended a week-long training at Air Niugini�s Training Centre at 7mile in Port Moresby. They included staff from Mendi, Kundiawa, Kerema, Wabag, Mt Hagen, Jiwaka, Kainantu and Port Moresby�s Konedobu, Rainbow, Boroko and Brian Bell Plaza branches.

Air Niugini Resume Flights To Mt Hagen
Air Niugini has resumed flights to Kagamuga airport, Mt Hagen this morning(� Friday 13th May) after closely monitoring and assessing the situation on the ground.Flight PX 180 departed Port Moresby after 9am, this will be followed by three others flights today, PX 182, PX 184 and PX 188.

Air Niugini Temporary Suspends Flights To Mt Hagen
Air Niugini wishes to advise our valued customers that due to current civil unrest in Mt Hagen, all flights to Kagamuga airport are suspended for today, Thursday 12th May. Air Niugini is pleased to announce the implementation of the Fare Lock system to help customers who may secure a suitable airfare to fly somewhere but need more time to decide, or are not ready to make payment immediately. Chief Executive Officer, Bruce Alabaster said there are times customers are able to choose suitable fare to travel but are unsure whether to make a reservation and that�s where the Fare Lock service comes in to ensure that a customer�s selected flight does not sell out and that the price does not change while their travel plans are being finalised.

Air Niugini is pleased to advise that passengers traveling to Singapore now will no longer require pre-departure tests. Singapore also doesn�t require pre-departure testing for passengers transiting through Singapore onto flights to other international destinations.�However, should your final destination require a pre-departure test, evidence of this will need to be shown at check-in. PASSENGERS FROM AUSTRALIA NO LONGER REQUIRE TESTS ON ARRIVAL IN PORT MORESBY
From 1am tomorrow, Thursday 28th April, COVID19 tests on arrival in Port Moresby is no longer required for passengers arriving from Australia. However, tests for passengers arriving from Singapore, Philippines and China (incl Hong Kong) is still required but the testing fee has been reduced to K150 per passenger.

Port Moresby Airport Testing For International Departing Passengers
From 1am �25th April, all pre-departure testing will cease at the airport for all flights .� All passengers should proceed directly to the Departures Check in through the Main Terminal Entrance. If travelling to Singapore, Hong Kong or Manila, or transiting to a country that requires a negative certificate you must bring the certificate to the airport with you. The certificate must be issued by a Doctor and include at least the following information: the date and time of the test;the name of the individual tested, as stated in the passport; at least one other personal identifier such as date of birth or passport number; the type of test conducted; the brand and make of the test; that the specimen for the test as collected, and the test was carried out, by or under the supervision of a Doctor; the result of the test (such as �negative� or �not detected�); the signature of the Doctor providing the certificate, as well as their Authority to Practise Number.

Air Niugini Resumes Fokker Jet Services To Lae
Air Niugini wishes to advise the travelling public that the airline has now resumed its Fokker jet services to Nadzab airport, Lae. The resumption of Fokker flights has been made possible as National Airports Corporation (NAC) continue to progress with the present runway works, which are now at the stage where the runway is long enough to cater for our Fokker 100 aircraft. Work on the new terminal building at Nadzab is also well under way.

Changes To Airport Test Requirements For International Travel From Port Moresby
Passengers flying to Australia: Air Niugini is pleased to advise that effective 1am on 18th April, previous requirements for Covid-19 testing requirements prior to travel will cease. �Passengers will not need to get a test prior to departure to Australia,� and hence can proceed directly to the Departures Check in through the Main Terminal Entrance. Passengers flying into Singapore and Manila: Both Singapore and the Philippines are now open for travel to non-citizens.� You must complete either a negative rapid test (or a negative PCR test) prior to scheduled departure. This is within 48 hours for Singapore, and 24 hours for Manila.�� Rapid tests are conducted either at the airport, or you can bring a compliant certificate with you issued by a doctor.
