2019 Air Niugini Ground Operations and Aviation Security conference
The two day Air Niugini Ground Operations and Aviation Security conference 2019 has commenced in Port Moresby today and will continue tomorrow.It is being attended by Port Managers and staff from both ANG’s domestic and international ports. Also in attendance are service providers, airline partners and others. Managing Director, Alan Milne welcomed the participants this morning and urged them to ensure interactive discussions and learn as much as they could.

Air Niugini Launches A Rural Sales Agent In Ialibu
Air Niugini has officially opened a Rural Sales Agent(RSA) in Ialibu, Southern Highlands last week bringing to total seven RSAs appointed so far to represent ANG by providing its services including sales of tickets to people in underserviced, rural communities who do not have direct access to the airline services. Air Niugini�s Executive Manager, Sales and Distribution �Charlie Wanma told hundreds of people that gathered for the launch at Ialibu-Pangia station that ANG understands the challenges of people moving to and from rural areas into towns and cities to access airline services and therefore has brought these services right to their door steps.

Air Niugini Succesfully Hosts 3rd Annual Kokoda Cup
Air Niugini has successfully hosted the 3rd annual Kokoda Cup match in a colourful ceremony yesterday (Sunday, 05th May) at the National Football Stadium in Port Moresby, coinciding with the Queensland Intrust Cup round 9 match between SP PNG Hunters and Townsville Blackhawks. The cup was carried onto the field by two Air Niugini pilots, First Officers Ponrilei Posanau and Bernice Watinga, accompanied by the lovely cabin crew- all in uniform. The pilots handed over the cup to Air Niugini Managing Director, Alan Milne who later passed it to Chairman of PNG Rugby Football League, Sandis Tsaka.

Air Niugini Resumes Jet Operations To Aropa Airport
Air Niugini will resume jet operations to Aropa airport in Kieta, Autonomous Region of Bougainville (AROB), effective Tuesday 07th May, 2019. The flight resumption is made possible following the installation of solar panels which supply power to Precision Path Indicator (PAPI) lights at the airport runway. PAPI lights are a visual aid that is generally located beside the runway that provides guidance information to help pilots maintain the correct approach to an airport. It is a requirement for jet operations.

Chairman’s Visit To Mt Hagen
Chairman of Air Niugini Limited, Sir Kostas Constantinou OBE, paid a courtesy visit to the Mt Hagen Sales & Ticketing office this morning to share a few words of encouragement with the team. Airport Supervisor, Revi Tai was also present. Port Manager, Kially Polau presented a traditional axe to the Chairman as a token of the team’s appreciation for his visit. The Chairman’s inclusive approach is always warmly received by the Air Niugini teams in the network.

Air Niugini Team:1 Grand Final in Private Companies Netball Competition
Air Niugini team one in Division one of the private companies netball competition was up against QBE in the grand final yesterday. (Sunday 14th April).Our ladies put up a great defence and despite losing to QBE, they were in great spirits. Our Managing Director, Alan Milne was also present, showing support for the girls.QBE won the finals, 21 to PX 10.

1, 500 members of Air Niugini Savings and Loans Society and their dependents can expect up to 25% discount on travel on both Air Niugini domestic and international sectors, effective today Wednesday, 10th April and for the next two years. Air Niugini hosted a function for its corporate clients in Lae over the weekend, following the airline’s board meeting.
