AIR NIUGINI PRESENTS HIRI HANENAM0 QUEST WINNERS WITH AIRLINE TICKETS

Air Niugini as part of its sponsorship towards this year’s Hiri Moale Festival presented airline tickets to the winners of the Hiri Hanenamo quest in Port Moresby recently.
The airline provides travel for winners and contestants with a mix of domestic and international tickets at the total value of over K70,000.
Acting Chief Executive Officer, Mr Gary Seddon when presenting the tickets said Air Niugini as the national airline was proud to support a festival that signifies cultural inheritance and contributes to tourism in the country.
He said “ The Hiri Moale Festival contributes positively on tourism , the country and its people. It also continues to protect and preserve the cultural heritage of the younger generation of Papua New Guineans, especially Motu Koitabuans, we are pleased to have supported the festival.”
2023 Hiri Hanenamo, Miss Kimjosh Damuri acknowledged Air Niugini for its continuous support towards the festival.
She said” Air Niugini’s generous support plus that of many other organisations made a lot of difference in ensuring a successful implementation of the festival.”
Hiri Moale Festival Committee member, Mrs Molly O’Rourke on behalf of their chairman thanked Air Niugini for the gesture and appealed for similar assistance in future events.
The annual Hiri Moale festival celebrates the culture of the Motu-Koitabu people, who forged unique connections with other tribes and people through seafaring and trade. This year’s festival was held from 3rd to 5th March at the Sir Hubert Murray Stadium in Port Moresby.
