AIR NIUGINI RESUME JET OPERATIONS TO MADANG

Air Niugini has resumed Fokker jet operations to Madang airport, effective this morning, Tuesday October 10.
The decision to resume jet services was made after the National Airports Corporation has repaired a small portion of the airport runway that was damaged by the earthquake on Saturday.
Yesterday, Air Niugini downgraded its flights to Madang by using only Dash 8s  before resuming jet operations today.
Safety is always of paramount importance in Air Niugini’s operations.
