Hoskins Flight Update – Mon 08/07/2019

July 8, 2019

Air Niugini has resumed services to and from Hoskins airport, West New Britain Province and is operating its full schedule except for the late afternoon fight PX244 from Port Moresby to Hoskins which continues to be suspended and rescheduled to the following morning.

A review on the suspension of the afternoon flights next week will determine whether to re-instate the overnighting of aircraft and crew in Hoskins.

The decision to resume flights followed Air Niugini’s own risk assessment over the last few days, following National Airports Corporation (NAC) decision to reopen Hoskins aerodrome for operations.

A reminder to passengers making connections out of Port Moresby on the rescheduled PX244 Hoskins fights that Air Niugini will not be responsible for any costs incurred if they are stranded in Port Moresby.

Air Niugini appreciates the traveling public’s understanding on the matter.
